SSHS is seeking a motivated Men’s Health Lead to promote health and healing amongst Stl’atl’imx community members through: providing a safe and supportive environment for men to gather and share stories; supporting, mentoring, and bringing together Stl’atl’imx men to develop leadership skills and peer support networks that empower and encourage culturally safe healing and wellness; promoting Stl’atl’imx traditional and cultural ways; leading, organizing, and facilitating participation in traditional activities (including but not limited to gatherings, hunting, fishing, harvesting, building, etc.) that incorporate land-based healing and therapy, and harm reduction strategies; providing information about and facilitating access to mental wellness and substance use support services; and culturally aware training around mental wellness, suicide prevention, addiction, harm reduction, etc.

Southern Stl’atl’imx Health Society (SSHS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled full-time Program and Contracts Manager to join our Indigenous non-profit health organization. The Program and Contracts Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various programs and contracts and agreements aimed at improving the health and well-being of the four communities that SSHS serves: N’Quatqua, Samahquam, Skatin, and Xa’xtsa First Nations. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and an in-depth understanding of Indigenous culture and health issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of programs, managing contracts, agreements, and partnerships, and supporting the organization’s mission “to honour the health of The People by working together to deliver holistic health services”.
